In May 2020, my work life had ground to a halt. My social life had ground to a halt. What seemed like a temporary crisis was soon to stretch into over a year of oscillation between wondering if it was safe to go out and worrying about friends and family.

Like everyone else, I was also looking for a wait to help. What I realized was that there were a lot of new concepts being thrown at us and that many of the statistics we were suddenly being asked to process were increasingly difficult to visualize. I decided to see if I could distill a sense of the crazy efforts of the wonderful people around us into something easy to engage with- an app game. Sure, I'd been working on a few ideas at the time, but I'd never brought a project to completion. It was a Herculean task, but I immediately set other things aside and set about it.
